The Edwin Group

At the start of 2022, we were approached by The Edwin Group - a growing collective of educational professionals, working together to positively impact the lives of young people by improving the quality of schooling within the UK. Their purpose is to build and share a collective voice for passionate professionals working within education, intent on redefining what excellence really means.

Our task was to create a brand identity and website that would allow them to do it.

A refreshing approach to education

Under The Edwin Group’s umbrella, they host a broad range of professionals working in education. While some specialise in character building and recruitment, others focus on safeguarding and child safety. A key aspect of the process was designing a brand which felt flexible enough to talk with authority, but still retained the playful aesthetic that characterises primary education.

We created an underlying design system for The Edwin Group’s internal team, including marketing and advertising materials, presentation templates, social media profiles and a fully responsive website. These guidelines underpin the groups creative efforts and guide their communications to the wider world.

We began by designing logo that can be deconstructed and deployed across a variety of applications. Originally inspired by idea of progression, the logo captures the themes of primary development, yet still operates in the abstract. When deconstructed, it communicates a sense of play and flexibility, yet when combined it stands as a bold, recognisable symbol for those within education to rally behind.

The Edwin Group's website is a space for them to engage and connect with both their established audience, and new members who share their ambitions. It continues the visual themes established during the branding process and develops key brand assets through animation and 3D modelling.
